About the Position

Within our Data & Analytics division, our consultants work in a collaborative and fast paced environment, are self-motived, and are passionate about the ever-evolving data and technology space. This role will provide the opportunity to implement solutions that unlock the power of data driven decision making across the organization and industry. Moser Consulting delivers services which allow our consultants to serve clients through consultancy services, professional services, or fully managed services like Honeycomb. We have consultant levels from associate to executive depending on each candidate’s experience. We are looking for a SQL developer with ETL Experience for current client Lids. This client is fully invested in the Microsoft stack: Azure SQL Server, SSAS, and Azure Data Factory. Some of the responsibilities of this role include:

  • Develop high-quality data warehouse and tabular model solutions in client environments.
  • Develop T-SQL database objects and Azure Data Factory pipelines to facilitate the flow of data from the source systems.
  • ADF development & maintenance of existing framework of base data model with Stage, Trusted, Refined layers.
  • Maintain, enhance, and develop Tabular model.
  • Examine data and workflows to increase optimization and improve efficiency.
  • Write TSQL scripts and objects such as stored procedures, user-defined functions, and views per business requirements.
  • Design, Develop, Deploy, and Monitor complex data pipelines which may contain various required transformations of data using various languages and techniques, including but not limited to:
    • Microsoft Azure and/or SQL Server
    • Microsoft SSAS
  • Create and maintain technical documentation, functional documentation, data flow diagrams, and data mapping documents.
  • Work with stakeholders on data-related technical issues.
  • Ensure the stability, reliability, and performance of the systems.
  • Good time-management skills and problem-solving skills.
  • Collaborate and work well in a team-environment.

Requirements

  • Proficient in writing advanced / complex SQL statements.
  • Experience developing Dynamic SQL, functions, and stored procedures using T-SQL.
  • Experience in performance tuning and optimization of SQL queries.
  • Experience working with BI tools such as Microsoft’s Azure Data Factory, SSAS, T-SQL, and/or other BI tools.
  • Strong understanding of ETL/ELT fundamentals and solutions.
  • Experience in cloud-based architectures involving Data Warehouses and/or Data Lakes, Ingestion Frameworks, Transformation, and Data Set generation.
  • Previous projects should display technical leadership with an emphasis on data warehouse solutions and/or business intelligence solutions.
  • Ability to create functioning ETL prototypes to address quickly changing business needs.
  • Clearly articulate pros and cons of proposed technologies/solutions.
  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited four-year college or university with major coursework in computer information systems, computer science, data management, information systems or information science or a related field. ***Work experience and professional certifications may also be taken into consideration pertaining to bachelor’s degree requirement.

Where You’ll Work

Moser has two offices in Indianapolis, IN, and one in Baltimore, MD. You will have the choice to work from one of our office locations, flex your time, or remain fully remote (in the U.S.).
