The Network Administrator’s role at Moser Consulting is to ensure the stable operation of our client’s networks. This includes planning, developing, installing, configuring, maintaining, supporting, and optimizing all network hardware, software, and communication links within our clients' environments. This administrator will also analyze and resolve end user hardware and software computer problems in a timely and accurate fashion and provide solutions where required.

The Managed Services Network Administrator has many duties and responsibilities specific to their job. These may change based on the needs of our clients. The typical duties and responsibilities of a Network Administrator may include:

  • Maintaining clients networks and systems including software, mainframes, WiFi, routers, and other physical hardware
  • Providing upper-tier and on-call support to ensure the reliability and performance of our clients network infrastructure
  • Installing and configuring network equipment to update or fix hardware or software issues
  • Monitoring computer systems to improve network performance for computer systems and networks
  • Communicating networking issues to our clients along with proposed solutions,
  • Fixing software and hardware configuration issues for our clients either on-demand or from inspection of the systems
  • Monitoring a variety of network protocols, settings, configurations involved in the LAN / WAN operations of our clients


  • Knowledge of networking services and common networking protocols
  • Computer proficiency and understanding of various types of hardware
  • 3 + years of related work experience for a Network Administrator
  • Exceptional critical thinking and problem-solving ability
  • Strong interpersonal skills to assist non-technical individuals with complex technical issues
  • Ability to work independently under minimal supervision
  • Attention to detail
  • Communication skills
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related discipline from an accredited institution.
  • Demonstrated working knowledge and experience with the following technologies:
    • VOIP technology
    • Firewall, Security, and Internet Protocol
    • VPN toolsets
    • Backup and DR Solutions

Preferred Skills

  • CCNA or CCNP
  • DNS, TCP/IP, NFS, SMB, HTTP/HTTPS, SSL, VPN, communication protocols and routing protocols required, ADFS, PKI and other security related experience
  • Linux/Unix and Windows operating systems
  • Cisco Firewalls, Routers, and Switches
  • Meraki Access Points

Where You'll Work

Moser has two offices in Indianapolis, IN, and one in Baltimore, MD. You will have the choice to work from one of our office locations in Indianapolis, or flex your time.
