Description

We are continually seeking great people who match the culture of Moser Consulting: concentrated on technology, focus on results. Within our Data & Analytics division, our consultants work in a collaborative and fast-paced environment, are self-motivated, and are passionate about the ever-evolving data and technology space. This role will provide the opportunity to implement solutions that unlock the power of data-driven decision-making across the organization and industry. Moser Consulting delivers services which allow our consultants to serve clients through consultancy services, professional services, or fully managed services like Honeycomb. We have consultant levels from associate to executive depending on each candidate’s experience.   • Design and create data visualizations in Tableau, Power BI, or other visualization reporting tools.
  • Develop data models, dashboards, and reports for desktop and mobile devices.
  • Learn other visualization tools such as Power BI.
  • Work closely with clients to understand their business needs and with end users to understand their goals.
  • Transform raw data into meaningful insights.
  • Perform and document data analysis, data validation, and data mapping/design.
  • Document and also maintain functional and technical documentation.
  • Use SQL, LOD Expressions, and other functions to tackle sophisticated business logic.
  • Apply Human Centered Design (HCD) and UX best-practices to the development and delivery of analytics products.
  • Lead/participate in brainstorming sessions and discovery sessions to develop innovative visual stories.
  • Display excellent collaboration, communication, and creativity.

Requirements

  • 2+ years’ experience developing Tableau reports, dashboards, KPIs, and scorecards.
  • 5+ years’ experience in data & analytics and/or application development.
  • Experience in one or more visual reporting tools like Power BI, Tableau, Looker, or similar tool.
  • Strong understanding of BI fundamentals and solutions.
  • Ability to use complex expressions to calculate, group, filter, and format custom dashboards/reports.
  • Solid understanding of the underlying data models driving visualization, including relational databases and joins.
  • Knowledge of best practices for visual flow, interactivity, and drilldown between graphics.
  • Knowledge spanning business intelligence concepts: data integration, data warehousing, modeling, databases, and technical aspects of BI tools.
  • Capable of implementing row-level security along with an understanding of application security.
  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited four-year college or university with major coursework in computer information systems, computer science, data management, information technology, information science, informatics, or work experience of equal value to formal education.

Where You'll Work

Moser has two offices in Indianapolis, IN, and one in Baltimore, MD. You will have the choice to work from one of our office locations, flex your time, or remain fully remote (in the U.S.).
